The lifting is the job
Most of what makes a removal hard has nothing to do with the truck. It is the sectional that will not turn the corner at the top of the stairs, the treadmill nobody has been able to shift since 2019, the chest freezer in the basement that is still half full. That is the part we are actually being paid for.
So we do not ask you to bring anything out to the curb. We come in, we take it apart if it needs taking apart, and we carry it. If your job is already piled at the curb, say so when you call — that is faster for us and it may qualify for lower pricing.
You do not need to sort it first
A lot of haulers in this market will quote you on the condition that everything is pre-sorted and stacked before they arrive. If you could do that, you would probably not need them.
We go through it. Anything with life left in it is donated, resold or recycled where we can, scrap metal goes to scrap, and the rest is disposed of properly. Point out what stays and the crew works around it, making separate piles as it goes. A job that needs extended sorting takes longer, so that can affect the price — we will say so in the quote rather than at the end.
What a typical job actually looks like
Text us a few photos and a rough location and you will usually have a number back within five minutes. If the job is big or awkward enough that photos will not do it justice, we come and look at no charge.
On the day, the crew checks the job against your quote before anything is loaded — with you there, or by phone or text if you are at work. Then we load, sweep the space, and you pay however suits you: cash, check, card, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App or an online invoice. No deposit, and nothing collected before the work is done.
